Engineering Services
Mikros engineers conduct research and development to determine the effects of radio frequency interference on wireless networks. The company developed computer algorithms that help automate and optimize wireless network planning. We also expanded the functionality of these algorithms to develop a Network Vulnerability to Attack (NVEA) application that helps mission planners visualize the complex interactions between RF data links and enemy jammers. We are managing the systems engineering processes and overseeing the integration of radar and communication products in order to provide a scalable solution for detection and tracking of waterborne threats. Mikros engineers are developing autonomous buoy solutions for persistent surveillance applications using wave-power technologies developed by Ocean Power Technologies. Mikros also develops and implements Information Assurance (IA) plans, and System Security Authorization and Agreements (SSAA) in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) Security policies.

Mikros is providing project management support and integrating sonar, radar, and communications equipment on autonomous buoys deployed for persistent surveillance applications.
