Mikros presents paper at IEEE Ottawa conference

Mikros technical paper well received at IEEE Reliability Society conference in Ottawa

The IEEE International Conference on Prognostics and Health Management (PHM) was a three-day event from June 20th through 22nd.  Becky Norman and Henry Silcock from Mikros published a paper for this conference entitled “Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) for Complex Distributed Systems.”  The paper was presented on Wednesday, June 22nd and generated a lot of questions and discussion during the presentation.  During all days of the conference we attended the various paper presentations and discussion groups.  This conference was very technical and engineering focused.  There were no vendor booths as typical of trade shows.  Many engineers from around the world presented their work for prognostics for various types of equipment including turbine engines, batteries, shipping, gearboxes, and electric vehicles, just to name a few.  Overall the conference was successful in many ways: we got the Mikros name out there as known in the field of prognostics, met other companies working in the field of prognostics for possible B2B or partnering, and learned more about where the industry is going.
