1) JOB TITLE: Software Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: An opening is available at Mikros Systems in Fort Washington, PA for a Software Engineer.  This software engineer will be involved in the full software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, and maintenance.  The primary responsibilities will focus on developing software for advanced system monitoring and test equipment in a dynamic team environment. 

REQUIRED

  • 4 year degree: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • Linux/Unix development experience
  • Strengths in one or more of the following areas
    • Application programming in Java
    • GUI design and development, preferably using JavaFx
    • Systems programming and/or driver development
    • Database programming
    • Engineering modeling and simulation
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Experience with software version control and configuration management
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, DoD security clearance

PREFERRED

  • Experience with software unit testing, including tools and frameworks
  • Experience with requirements management and associated tools
  • Microsoft Windows development experience, preferably using .NET framework
  • Experience with discrete electronic test equipment. (Power meters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
  • Experience with network configuration and monitoring
  • 5-10 years experience

2) JOB TITLE: Hardware Systems Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION: An opening is available at Mikros Systems in Fort Washington, PA for a Hardware Systems Engineer.  This hardware systems engineer will support the design, testing, manufacture and fielding of new and existing products as a member of an interdisciplinary team in a hands-on environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and implementation of electro-mechanical systems for use in Mil/aero/naval applications
  • Follow engineering design practices including requirements analysis and decomposition, trade studies, and prototyping in support of technical projects and programs
  • Determine design approaches, parameters, and feasibility
  • Recommend improvements with new concepts and techniques for product or design to meet simplification, improved performance, and cost reduction initiatives
  • Follow ASME, IEEE, and MIL standards as applicable
  • Work closely with other engineers and production staff
  • Occasionally travel to install, test, and troubleshoot company products at customer sites

REQUIRED

  • BSME, BSEE, BSAero or equivalent Technical degree
  • CAD certification/proficiency, Solidworks preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of design experience
  • Understanding of the design and operation of electro-mechanical systems
  • Highly motivated with the ability to make decisions and solve problems
  • Strong technical writing skills
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, DoD security clearance

PREFERRED

  • Ability to read and understand schematics and assembly drawings
  • Experienced in the manufacturing of hardware, electronics, and electrical cabling
  • Experience with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and digital multimeters

3) JOB TITLE: Government Billing Accountant

JOB DESCRIPTION: An opening is available at Mikros Systems in Fort Washington, PA for a Government Billing Accountant.  This person will be responsible for performing the overall input into the Government’s WAWF billing systems and maintaining all Receivable ledgers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the overall Accounts Receivable function, which includes revenue recognition, Quickbooks input, subsidiary ledger maintenance, monthly project reports updates, and Balance Sheet and P&L account analysis and budget vs actual reporting
  • Confirm all A/R billings data with the Treasurer
  • Maintain Labor & Time report status and Other Direct Cost information by contract/job and sub-tasks
  • Compile and review monthly job cost reports and analyses
  • Maintain Subcontract Management data and reporting
  • Participate in monthly meetings with management and all levels of the organization, to provide contract/job cost information

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA is a plus
  • 5-10 years’ Government contract experience preferred
  • Familiarity with job-cost accounting concepts
  • Experience with Quickbooks and MS Office Suite
  • Able to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to effectively interact with all employee levels within the Company

SALARY: $70,000 - $90,000 yearly

4) JOB TITLE: Accounting Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION: An opening is available at Mikros Systems in Fort Washington, PA for a Accounting Manager.  This person will be responsible for supervising, tracking and evaluating day-to-day activities to include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department including: month and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity
  • Monitoring and analyzing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, policies and principles
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Meet financial accounting objectives
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Manage the overall accounting function, which includes revenue recognition, Deltek Costpoint implementation, QuickBooks input, subsidiary ledger maintenance, monthly project budget updates, Balance Sheet and P&L account analysis and budget vs actual reporting
  • Maintain and report status of fiscal information by contract/job and sub-tasks
  • Review monthly financial reports and analyses
  • Participate in monthly meetings with management and all levels of the organization, to provide financial information
  • Review quarterly and yearly financial information for SEC and Income Tax reporting
  • Serve as a liaison of all financial data to the Company’s independent contract consultant, public auditing firm, tax consultant and SEC consultant

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA required.
  • 7-10 years’ experience required
  • Proficient in Deltek Costpoint (required)
  • Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
  • Self-managed, with the ability to work within a team
  • Preparing relevant documentation for invoicing and manage invoicing dispute
  • Proficient or advanced computer skills in QuickBooks and MS Office Suite
  • Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to direct and supervise staff accountants
  • Able to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to effectively interact with all employee levels within the Company

SALARY: $90,000 - $110,000 yearly
